LumelaKids began in the winter of 2022, with the birth of our son.

Like many new parents, we entered a world overflowing with baby products, bright colors, and endless choices. But very quickly, we realized something important — children do not need more things. They need the right environment.

As our son grew and reached new milestones, we became more intentional. We started observing how he moved, how he explored, what truly captured his attention. We learned that calm spaces create focus. Natural materials invite deeper play. Freedom of movement builds confidence.

We found ourselves naturally drawn to Scandinavian design and Montessori-inspired principles — thoughtful simplicity, open-ended play, and furniture that supports development rather than restricts it.

But Lumela Kids is more than a store born from aesthetics.
It is born from awareness.

How We Found the Name Lumela Kids

When creating our brand, we searched for a name that would carry warmth, light, and meaning.

The name Lumela felt right. It carries a soft, bright sound — something gentle yet confident. For us, it represents light, growth, and mindful beginnings.

Little fox, in georgian "Mela", became the heart of Lumela Kids. The fox symbolizes wisdom, curiosity, intelligence, and adaptability. In many cultures, the fox represents cleverness and awareness — qualities we hope every child develops through independent exploration and play.

Mela reminds us that children are naturally wise. They are capable. They are curious. They simply need the right space to grow. And one fun fact more, its our store creator's nickname!
